Dog Point is a state of the art winery and vineyard run by ex-Cloudy Bay winemakers Ivan Sutherland and James Healy. Their ultra-fastidious approach to vineyard management and winemaking (including hand-sorting of grape bunches before crushing to ensure only perfect fruit goes into the wine) results in some of the South Island's best pinot noir, chardonnay and sauvignon blanc. This top-echelon sauv blanc strikes a perfect balance of ripe tropical fruit and tangy citrus flavours on its long, finely structured palate.
