Escarpment wines hail from the Martinborough region on New Zealand's north island. Winemaker Larry McKenna, an Australian, is largely responsible for bringing the wines of this region to prominence in the wine world.

 

Powerful opulent fruit combines beautifully with barrel fermentation in this dry Burgundian inspired Pinot Gris. Flavours are reminiscent of ripe pears and white stone fruit with delightful soft texture ensuring a long commanding finish. A great alternative to Chardonnay it has been inspired by the classical French approach to the variety. It is an accurate reflection of Marinborough's unique terrior.
