Founder David Cochran is a man who knows what he loves - and he loves wine. As with all the North Sydney Cellars staff, what sets him apart is that his knowledge matches his passion. A regular traveller to France, Italy and the United States, David has worked in the wine industry since 1992, after turning his back on the law to study both wine marketing and wine science. His interests include biodynamic wines and any sport you can play with a drink in one hand.

 

The other North Sydney Cellars founder, Ben Ryan, is a man who embraces a challenge. The logistics expert of the company, Ben brings over twenty years of experience to the table, as well as either a Pinot Noir or Sapporo, depending on his mood. A lover of AFL, rugby and cricket, Ben enjoys life to the full and keeps the team grounded by reminding us that wine is a drink, so drink it!

 

Jules is the heart and soul of North Sydney Cellars.Though the youngest member of the team, Jules chalked up an impressive five years managing the shop before becoming a partner in the business. Passionate about music, food and wine, Jules is a respected wine expert who loves a drop that refreshes and challenges perceptions, yet still manages to remind the palate of its origin. His winery experience includes a vintage at the Stolpman Vineyard in Santa Ynez, California – the area made famous by the movie ‘Sideways’.
